How LinkedIn Zip works
Zip is a path puzzle on a 6×6 board. A handful of cells carry numbers. Your job is to draw a single continuous line that moves only between touching cells (up, down, left or right, never diagonally) and threads through every one of the 36 cells exactly once.
The catch is order. The line must begin on 1 and reach the numbers in sequence — 1, then 2, then 3, and so on — with the highest number marking the end of the route. A well-formed Zip board has exactly one path that fills the grid and honours that order, so every turn can be reasoned out rather than guessed. Dead-end cells and the board corners are usually where the logic starts.

Does the Zip path have to fill every cell?
Yes. A valid Zip path passes through all 36 cells of the 6×6 grid exactly once — it never skips a cell, crosses itself or reuses a cell — while reaching the numbered cells in ascending order.
Do the numbers have to be visited in order?
Always. The line must begin on 1 and reach 2, then 3, and so on up to the highest number before the grid is complete. Hitting a higher number before a lower one breaks the path, even if every other cell would be filled.
